The area around St. Paul en Foret is renowned for its beauty. Bagnols on Foret is just to the south and Fayence to the north. Draguignan and Grasse are 15km to the west and east respectively - the coast is within easy reach, with breathtaking views at every corner. The nearest beaches are Frejus, Aygulf and St Raphael, but the entire Riviera is within easy striking distance for a day out from the villa.

If you can tear yourself away from the house and gardens of Les Terrasses, there is much to see and do around you. Other local hilltop towns (Seillans, Fayence, Montoraux, Caillans and Tourettes) are buzzing with life - fresh local produce and fabulous restaurants are in abundance! . Go to one of the regular markets and stroll around the artists studios and antique shops - sip your kir in a shaded square and watch the locals playing boules (pick up a few tips).

It's even lovely just to jump in the car (take your map) and explore the local geography... Les Gorges du Verdon is within about one hour - and the Lac St. Croix with its many water sports is just beyond. Grasse and its many attractions is well worth a visit and the coastal area of Frejus provides loads of fun for younger people with water parks, go karting, ice skating and night life.
